Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
This policy says what information Evermarch collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, your email address, and your password. The password is stored only as a scrambled hash that nobody can read back.
- Your age check: when you sign up you enter your date of birth. We only check that you are 13 or older; we do not store the date itself.
- Game data: your characters, levels, items, coins, quests, settings, friends list, guild, chat messages, in-game mail, trades and Trading Post offers.
- Connection data: your IP address and a random device code saved in your browser. We use them to keep you signed in, to stop spam and to enforce one account per person.
- Reports and feedback: anything you send with the Feedback button, and player reports (which include the chat around the report).
- Purchases: what you bought and when. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Your browser also stores your sign-in and some settings (like zoom and chat filters) on your own device. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
To run the game and your account, save your progress, send password reset emails, keep the game fair and safe (moderation, spam and cheating checks), handle purchases, fix bugs and improve the game. We don't sell your information and don't use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Other players see your username, your character's look, chat, and your levels on the hiscores.
- Services that run the game for us: Railway (game servers and storage), Resend (password reset emails), Stripe (payments), GitHub (private backups and bug reports) and Discord (reports and feedback, sent to our private moderator channel). They only get what they need to do that job.
- The law: if we are legally required to, or to protect players' safety.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while it exists. Backups are kept for 14 days. Reports and feedback are kept while they are useful for moderation and fixing the game.
Children
Evermarch is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can change your email in the Account tab. You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information, or to delete your account; deleting it removes your characters and progress for good. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California) you may have more rights, and you can use them the same way.
Changes
We may update this policy and will show the date at the top. Important changes will be announced in the game.
Contact
To contact us, use the Feedback button in the game (choose "Report a bug" and say it is about your account or this policy). If you can't log in, use "Forgot your password?" on the log-in screen first.
